Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Wakefield walked away with it. They had just enough and edged out the Chantilly Chargers 3-2 on Wednesday. Wakefield haven't had any issues with Chantilly recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Bruce Gonzales Cordova and Graysen Colglazier scored all three of Wakefield's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 13 goals.

Wakefield's victory bumped their record up to 8-4-3. As for Chantilly, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-7.

Coming up, Wakefield is taking a road trip to challenge McLean at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Chantilly does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
