Softball Recap: St. John Fighting Herald vs. Geneva Eagles
The St. John Fighting Herald lost 17-7 to the Geneva Eagles on Tuesday.
Mary West and Caitlyn Carney stepped up to the plate in a big way. West scored a run while going 1-for-3, while Carney scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.
St. John's loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Geneva, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Coming up, St. John will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Lordstown at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
