After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Plaza Heights Christian Academy, Kansas City East Christian Academy was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Christ Prep Academy Patriots 5-3. This was payback for the Lions, who suffered a 10-5 loss the last time these two teams met.

Kansas City East Christian Academy's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Braeden Jenkins, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI Jenkins has posted since back in March. Chase Morris was another, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Kansas City East Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Christ Prep Academy, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-9.

Looking ahead, Kansas City East Christian Academy will challenge Varsity Opponent on Thursday. As for Christ Prep Academy, they will take on St. James Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
