Soccer Game Preview: Grant vs. Roosevelt

The Grant Pacers will challenge the Roosevelt Rough Riders at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Grant is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Rocklin on Thursday. The Pacers fell just short of the Thunder by a score of 1-0. Grant have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Roosevelt). They put the hurt on Firebaugh with a sharp 6-1 victory on Tuesday. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 3-0.

Roosevelt hit Firebaugh with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Romualdo Alvarez (3), Bryan Contreras (2), and Orlando Rocha.

The win made it two in a row for Roosevelt and bumps their season record up to 2-2. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored nine goals over those two contests. As for Grant, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
