Baseball Game Preview: Summit Christian Academy Falcons vs. Mount View Golden Knights

The Summit Christian Academy Falcons will head out to face off against the Mount View Golden Knights at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, Summit Christian Academy put up the most runs they have all season on Monday. They put the hurt on Jefferson Christian Academy with a sharp 13-5 win.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Mount View, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Montcalm a 20-0 shutout on Monday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Golden Knights as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Hunter Muncy made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Muncy was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in both of his plate appearances. That stolen base was his first of the season.

Muncy wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Clemins, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-1. Kyrece Hughes was another, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Mount View always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .657. They are 2-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The win got Summit Christian Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Mount View, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
