Basketball Recap: York Find Success

York proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 39) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Waterloo Tigers 53-51. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Golden Knights have posted since December 4, 2024.

York's record is now 9-3. As for Waterloo, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. York will head out to challenge Pavilion at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Golden Knights are facing the Golden Gophers at the right time seeing as the Golden Gophers are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Waterloo, they will face off against Bloomfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bombers will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight.
