Corner Canyon and Alta are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2017, but likely not for long. The Chargers will venture away from home to take on the Hawks at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Corner Canyon has now lost 12 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 3.

Corner Canyon came up short against Riverton on Tuesday, falling 25-4.

Corner Canyon saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooklyn Hyer, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Alta posted their closest victory since April 14th on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past Skyline 18-17. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Addyson Brownell was a standout: she got on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and one stolen base. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brielle Watson, who went 4-for-5 with four runs, three doubles, and three RBI.

Alta kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. They are 6-3 when they post 11 or more hits.

Alta's victory bumped their record up to 6-14. As for Corner Canyon, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-22.

Corner Canyon skirted past Alta 10-9 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chargers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
