Old Orchard Beach gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the St. Dominic Saints, sneaking past 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Seagulls have posted since May 3, 2024.

The team relied heavily on Wesley Gallant, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Old Orchard Beach will square off against Waynflete at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be the Seagulls' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for St. Dominic, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Buckfield at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
