Soccer Recap: Cary-Grove Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Cary-Grove can now relate to. They came up short against the Geneva Vikings on Tuesday, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, Cary-Grove can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 314th, while Geneva are ranked 21st).

Cary-Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 3-19-1. As for Geneva, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-5-2.

Cary-Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Geneva, they will take on Streamwood at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
