San Diego Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 58-23 win over the Rock Academy Warriors. The Cavaliers pushed the score to 47-15 by the end of the third, a deficit the Warriors had no chance of recovering from.

San Diego Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rudy Nieto led the charge by putting up 13 points and three steals. Story Avitia was another key player, dropping a double-double with 13 points and ten boards.

San Diego Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rock Academy only posted four.

Looking ahead, San Diego Academy will square off against Escondido Adventist Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rock Academy, they will challenge Escondido at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
