Hanover took down Colorado School for the Deaf & Blind 50-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Dustin Koehler threw for 177 yards and five touchdowns in the win.
The Hornets made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 902 from 978. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 50-0 victory over the Bulldogs last week.
Jussiah Sanchez was the best wideout in A-6 Southwest (6 Man) this week as Primero lost to Bethune. Sanchez racked up 10 receptions for 84 yards. Jordan Fowler helped Primero's passing attack out by catching five balls for 51 yards.
Josh Huey made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Bulldogs fell to the Bobcats. The 6-foot-1 senior grabbed one interception, forced two fumbles, recorded one fumble and grabbed 1.0 sack.
Henry Mayfield was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 123 yards on 14 carries as Hanover lost to Bethune. Teammate Braulio Martinez-Acosta added to the ground attack by rushing for 27 yards.
Mark Fernandez's team's James Lujan and Huey have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Lujan has thrown for 967 yards this season, while Huey, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 22 catches for 383 yards. Mayfield from Luke Decker's team leads the league in rushing with 870 yards.
A big matchup in A-6 Southwest (6 Man) this week will be when Edison takes on the Bulldogs. As it stands, the Eagles are in fourth, while Primero is in third.
