Baseball Recap: Coronado Makes It Four in a Row at Home

With a playoff win on the line, Coronado rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They never let the Mission Hills Grizzlies get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Islanders also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2023.

Coronado's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-8. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Mission Hills, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-18 record this season.

Coronado does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mission Hills, they will take on Southwest EC at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Grizzlies' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
