It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Bowdon had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past the Wilcox County Patriots, posting a 42-7 victory. Considering the Red Devils have won eight contests by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Bowdon's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Joshua Hopkins, who threw for 208 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 passes, and also rushed for 46 yards. Hopkins is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for four or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another receiver making a difference was Kaiden Prothro, who picked up 128 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

The win (which was Bowdon's sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-2. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.5 points over those games. As for Wilcox County, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.

Looking ahead, Bowdon will take on Washington-Wilkes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wilcox County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
