Cardington-Lincoln and Fredericktown are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2020, but not for long. The Pirates are taking a road trip to take on the Freddies at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cardington-Lincoln has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since September 11.

Cardington-Lincoln came up short against Loudonville on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-18, 25-9.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Fredericktown, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They blew past East Knox 3-0 on Tuesday.

Fredericktown was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-18, 25-20.

Cardington-Lincoln better focus on containing Zoey Horlacher and Mya Broseus as the pair were huge in Fredericktown's win. Horlacher had seven digs and four aces, while Broseus had seven digs and three aces. That's the most aces Broseus has posted since back in October of 2024.

Fredericktown was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. They are 9-2 when they serve at least ten aces.

Fredericktown pushed their record up to 10-9 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Cardington-Lincoln, their loss dropped their record down to 2-15.

Cardington-Lincoln might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Fredericktown in their previous meeting back in September. Can the Pirates avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
