Silver hadn't done well against Chaparral recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Slvr Ftg Colts walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Lobos. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Slvr Ftg Colts.

Sammy Yurcic was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single walk in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one home run.

Yurcic wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Devion Gonzales, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI. Urijah Arrey was another, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.

Silver's record is now 11-14. As for Chaparral, they dropped their record down to 8-17 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
