Basketball Game Preview: North Sand Mountain Bison vs. Spring Garden Panthers

The North Sand Mountain Bison will take on the Spring Garden Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as North Sand Mountain comes in on six and Spring Garden on 12.

On Tuesday, North Sand Mountain was able to grind out a solid win over Sylvania, taking the game 67-60. Given the Bison's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 52nd, while the Rams are ranked 215th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Spring Garden strolled past Hazel Green with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 63-46.

Spring Garden's victory was their 22nd straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 27-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 43.8 points. As for North Sand Mountain, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.
