Football Game Preview: Bremond Tigers vs. Shiner Comanches

The Bremond Tigers will face off against the Shiner Comanches at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Bremond is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Grapeland 45-14. The victory was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on ten straight.

It was another big night for Terrence Scott, who rushed for 141 yards and two touchdowns. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 109 rushing yards. Tristan Morehead was another key player, picking up 94 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Scott was just one part of a punishing run game: Bremond was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 225 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 225 rushing yards in six consecutive matches.

Bremond didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Zander Pruitt and Jeremiah Clark. Another thorn in Grapeland's side was Tyriq Scott, who picked up a sack and made 12 total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Shiner waltzed into their contest on Thursday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They blew past the Eagles, posting a 27-0 win.

Shiner's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-3. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 4.0 points per game. As for Bremond, their win bumped their record up to 12-2.
