Adding to the longest winning streak in Mission Trail this week, Pacific Grove beat Stevenson 43-18. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.

King City scaled the state rankings by moving to 736 from 797 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Mustangs climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Soledad 9-7.

Connor Marden threw for 276 yards and 3 touchdowns. He went 13-16 with 0 interceptions.

Jason Leach was the best running back in the league this week. In 14 carries, he ran for 165 yards as Pacific Grove lost to Pacific Grove. Jake Speed also contributed to the rushing game with 50 yards on the ground.

The leading receiver in the league this season is Speed. The Pacific Grove star has 28 catches for 605 yards.

An important game coming up in Mission Trail this week will be when Stevenson takes on King City. As it stands, Bruce Dini's team is in third, while Mac Villanueva's team is in fourth.

The Mustangs and the Aztecs played the most contested game in the league this week, with the Mustangs eventually emerging with a 9-7 victory.
