Baseball Game Preview: Arlington Admirals vs. Mahopac Wolf Pac

Arlington has gone 8-2 against Mahopac recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Admirals will head out to take on the Wolf Pac at 4:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

Mahopac will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Arlington extended their winning streak to four on Tuesday. The Admirals never let Ossining get on the board and left with a 14-0 win.

Christian Anderson and Griffin White did most of the damage at the plate: Anderson got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base, while White got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs, three RBI, and one double. Anderson is becoming a predictor of Arlington's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 6-8 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Richie Brown, who went 2-for-4 with five RBI.

Arlington hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in nine consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mahopac). They blew past Hendrick Hudson 10-1 on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Arlington's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-8. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Mahopac, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Arlington came out on top in a nail-biter against Mahopac in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 2-0. Do the Admirals have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolf Pac turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
