Softball Game Preview: Dublin Coffman Shamrocks vs. Upper Arlington Golden Bears

The Dublin Coffman Shamrocks will head out to face off against the Upper Arlington Golden Bears at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. Dublin Coffman will be strutting in after a victory while Upper Arlington will be coming in after a loss.

Dublin Coffman is headed out in good spirits considering the team just ended their winless streak on the road against New Albany on Saturday. The Shamrocks came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 12-8. The game was the first time the Shamrocks have beaten the Eagles on their field since April 21, 2017.

Meanwhile, Upper Arlington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They came up short against Olentangy Orange, falling 12-2.

Dublin Coffman is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Upper Arlington, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.

Dublin Coffman skirted past Upper Arlington 8-6 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will the Shamrocks repeat their success, or do the Golden Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
