Recap: Omaha Westside Warriors vs. Omaha Central Eagles

It was a good run, but the Omaha Westside Warriors unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 69-61 to Omaha Central. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Omaha Westside in their matchups with Omaha Central: they've now lost four in a row.

Omaha Westside's loss came despite strong showings from Kimora Jenkins and Kara Stricklin. Jenkins scored 20 points, while Stricklin scored 19 points along with six rebounds. Stricklin scored a full 31.1% of Omaha Westside's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Inia Jones continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Omaha Central, scoring 28 points. The match was Jones' 11th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilliana Petersen, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.

Omaha Westside's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Omaha Central, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Omaha Westside will be playing at home against Elkhorn South at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Elkhorn South focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Thursday. Omaha Central is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Millard West at 5:30 p.m. on January 3rd. One thing working in Millard West's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
