Softball Recap: Wednesday's Defeat Ends West Davidson's Winning Streak

West Davidson has relied on a stalwart pitcher averaging 3.45 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Wednesday. They came up short against the Reagan Raiders, falling 11-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Dragons have suffered since March 19th.

West Davidson saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abigail Leonard, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

West Davidson moved to 13-7 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Reagan, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Davidson will square off against East Davidson at 6:00 p.m. on the 25th. As for Reagan, they will challenge Parkland at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.82 runs per game on average), something the Raiders will no doubt try to take advantage of.
