Football Recap: Nico Convertito and Jake Viglione Pace Masuk Defense

Masuk's game on Friday was all tied up 7-7 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 28-21 to the Darien Blue Wave. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Masuk still got an impressive performance from Aaron Champagne, who threw for 241 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 48 yards. Another player making a difference was Ricardo Teixeira, who picked up 123 receiving yards and one TD.

Masuk didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Nico Convertito and Jake Viglione. Viglione got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Masuk now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Darien, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Masuk will take on New Milford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Darien, they will face off against Staples at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
