Volleyball Recap: Nansemond River Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Nansemond River and Granby squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Nansemond River had to settle for second. They came up short against the Comets, falling 3-0. The Warriors have struggled against the Comets recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

While Nansemond River was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-22, 25-19.

Davis Mendoza had an outrageously good game for Granby as he had 23 digs and three assists. That's the most assists Mendoza has posted since back in September.

Nansemond River now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Granby, the win was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-2.

Nansemond River does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Granby, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Maury on the 5th.
