Basketball Recap: South Rowan Takes a Loss

South Rowan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a blow against the Northwest Cabarrus Trojans, falling 78-30. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 69-49 back in December of 2024.

Among those leading the charge was Ezekiel Brown, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 12 boards. That's the most rebounds he has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Justin Gonder, who went 5 for 9 en route to 12 points.

South Rowan's defeat dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Northwest Cabarrus, they pushed their record up to 12-6 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

South Rowan has already played their next contest, a 71-43 loss against Central Cabarrus on the 31st. As for Northwest Cabarrus, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 80-75 victory against Lake Norman Charter on the 31st.
