Softball Recap: Springport Extends Road Winning Streak to 11

Springport's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Jonesville Comets. For the Spartans, this counts as revenge for the 6-5 win the Comets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2023.

Springport's victory was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Jonesville, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Springport has already played their next matchup, a 10-0 defeat against Bronson on the 9th. As for Jonesville, they will take on East Jackson at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Trojans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.15 runs per game on average), something the Comets will no doubt try to take advantage of.
