Basketball Recap: Phoenix Day School for the Deaf Takes a Loss

Phoenix Day School for the Deaf lost against Bagdad back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Phoenix Day School for the Deaf Roadrunners were outmatched by the Bagdad Sultans and fell 68-23. The Roadrunners were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-12.

Franchesco Yesuf was Phoenix Day School for the Deaf's leading scorer, having posted 12 points. Donovan Etheridge held things down on the boards with five rebounds. He took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Phoenix Day School for the Deaf's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Bagdad, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-3.

The future could be bright for both Phoenix Day School for the Deaf and Bagdad: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Phoenix Day School for the Deaf will try to hand Sequoia Pathway Academy their sixth-straight defeat when the two meet at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Bagdad will look to extend North Phoenix Preparatory Academy's four-game losing streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
