Football Recap: Victory Christian Academy Starts off Right with Win over Oxbridge Academy

Victory Christian Academy took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They blew past the Oxbridge Academy ThunderWolves 48-6. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-6.

Victory Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cru Slocum, who threw for 136 yards and three TDs. Donmari Earby was in the mix as well, providing the Storm with two scores.

Another reason for the win was Victory Christian Academy's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for seven sacks. Kash Johnson was especially locked on to Oxbridge Academy's QB and sacked him twice.

Looking ahead, Victory Christian Academy will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Moore Haven at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 884 yards in their previous games. As for Oxbridge Academy, they will be playing at home against Jupiter Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
