Recap: Wasatch Academy Tigers vs. Waterford Ravens
The Wasatch Academy Tigers lost against the Waterford Ravens back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Wasatch Academy took a serious blow against Waterford, falling 46-11. Wasatch Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 26-5.
Anne Howard was the offensive standout of the match as she scored 15 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Waterford's points. Kenley Carter was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 5 rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Wasatch Academy and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Waterford, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Wasatch Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Utah Military Academy - Hill Field at 5:30 p.m. on December 12th. As for Waterford, they will be playing at home against Gunnison Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gunnison Valley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
