Basketball Game Preview: Edina Hornets vs. Hopkins Royals

Edina hasn't had much luck against Hopkins recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Edina Hornets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hopkins Royals at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Edina sitting on three straight wins and Hopkins on five.

Last Tuesday, Edina slipped by Breck 77-76.

Meanwhile, Hopkins earned a 74-64 victory over Eden Prairie on Wednesday. Given the Royals' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked first, while the Eagles are ranked 51st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hopkins' win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-1. As for Edina, their victory bumped their record up to 8-11.
