Volleyball Recap: Archer Gets the Win

It was a proper cat-fight when Archer faced off against Duluth on Thursday. The Tigers came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 2-0. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won three in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Archer took both sets by at least 14 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-1.

Jayana Castro was the offensive standout of the game as she had nine digs and one assist.

Archer couldn't miss and finished the game having scored on 42.5% of their attack attempts. The last time their hitting percentage was this high was back in September of 2024.

Archer's record is now 3-1. As for Duluth, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coincidentally, Archer and Duluth will both be playing South Gwinnett the next time they take the court. The Wildcats will host the Comets at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Tigers will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
