Baseball Recap: Lakeview's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Lakeview entered their tilt with Hesperia on Tuesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Panthers 17-11. With that win, the Wildcats brought their scoring average up to 6.6 runs per game.

Cameron Perez was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Braden Salladay was another key player, going 4-for-5 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Lakeview was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .556. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Lakeview pushed their record up to 11-10 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Hesperia, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.

Coming up, Lakeview will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Alma at 1:00 p.m. As for Hesperia, they will face off against Mason County Eastern at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
