St. Vincent-St. Mary barely beat Springfield the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Fighting Irish put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 13-6 victory on Wednesday. The Fighting Irish might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by seven runs or more this season.

Aidan Roberts looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits.

On the hitting side, St. Vincent-St. Mary got a massive performance out of Logan Henderson, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those three RBI gave Henderson a new career-high. Ashton Tamzarian was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

St. Vincent-St. Mary kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in four consecutive games.

St. Vincent-St. Mary has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Springfield, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-18.

Looking ahead, St. Vincent-St. Mary will face off against Ellet at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Fighting Irish's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Orangemen have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Springfield, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Buchtel at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
