Basketball Game Preview: Toledo Indians vs. Wahkiakum Mules

Toledo hasn't had much luck against Wahkiakum recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Toledo Indians will head out to face off against the Wahkiakum Mules at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

On Friday, Toledo beat Mossyrock 60-51. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Vikings are ranked 332nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Wahkiakum waltzed into their game on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They strolled past the Acorns with points to spare, taking the game 68-53.

Wahkiakum pushed their record up to 10-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.6 points per game. As for Toledo, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-3.

Toledo came up short against Wahkiakum in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 68-56. Can Toledo avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
