Volleyball Game Preview: Capital Bruins vs. Helena Bengals + How To Watch

Capital is 0-10 against Helena since September of 2022 but things could change on Thursday. The Bruins will head out to square off against the Bengals at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Capital and Big Sky, and Capital kept the tradition alive. The Bruins came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 3-1 on Saturday.

Capital had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-20, 25-20, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Helena made easy work of Butte on Saturday and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bengals.

Helena's got stronger as the match went on, holding Butte to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-18, 25-15.

Capital's record now sits at 4-25. As for Helena, their record is now 16-12.

Capital couldn't quite get it done against Helena when the teams last played back in October of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Bruins avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
