Southeast can bid farewell to their five-match losing streak thanks to their match on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the South Titans 2-1. That's the fourth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 2-0 victory back in September.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Southeast who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-22, 21-25, 25-16.

Savannah Ung paced Southeast's offense, picking up ten kills. Ung got some help from Leah Nguyen and her 22 assists. Eva Vilanueva controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Southeast's victory bumped their record up to 12-15. As for South, they dropped their record down to 2-26-1 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home.

Coincidentally, Southeast and South will both be playing Bishop Carroll the next time they take the court. The Golden Buffalo will head out to face the Golden Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Titans will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
