After flying high against Gaylord on Monday, St. Francis came back down to earth. The Gladiators took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Lyon East Cougars on Saturday. The Gladiators' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

St. Francis' defeat dropped their record down to 17-12. As for South Lyon East, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-5-1 record this season.

St. Francis has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Mt. Pleasant on the 11th. As for South Lyon East, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Hudsonville on the 11th.
