Basketball Recap: Kennewick Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Kennewick entered their matchup against Richland on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Kennewick Lions fell just short of the Richland Bombers by a score of 58-55. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 58th, while the Bombers are ranked third).

Kennewick's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-4. As for Richland, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.

Kennewick will head out on the road to square off against Pasco at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Kennewick knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Pasco likes a good challenge. As for Richland, they will take on Southridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Richland's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
