Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northwest Guilford). They blew past the Southwest Guilford Cowboys, posting a 54-12 win. Considering the Vikings have won four matchups by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

McKinnly Vance was a one-man wrecking crew for Northwest Guilford as he rushed for 130 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, and also caught a touchdown. That's the most rushing yards Vance has posted since back in August. Easton Dean also helped out as he racked up 112 rushing yards.

Northwest Guilford was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 288 rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their rushing yard total in three consecutive contests.

Despite the loss, Southwest Guilford still got an impressive performance from Jassiah Cheek, who rushed for 97 yards and a touchdown. Cheek showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 53 yards.

Northwest Guilford's record now sits at 8-2. As for Southwest Guilford, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
