High school basketball: USA Men's Basketball announces U16 National Team roster

Five-star prospects Robert Dillingham, Ronald Holland, Jalen Lewis look to extend success of program with 31-0 all-time record.
USA Basketball announced its final 12-man roster Monday for the U16 national team deaturing five-star prospects Robert Dillingham, Ronald Holland and Jalen Lewis. Training camp began on Aug. 13 with 27 prospects competing for a roster spot.
The 2021 FIBA Americas U16 Championship are scheduled for Aug. 23-29 in Xapala, Mexico. The top four
finishers earn a berth into the 2022 FIBA U17 World Cup.
Sharman White of
Pace Academy (Atlanta) heads the U16 coaching staff with assistants Eric Flannery of
St. Edward (Lakewood, Ohio) and Steve Turner of
Gonzaga (Washington, D.C.).
USA Basketball U16 roster
The U16 squad looks to continue the
tradition of success for the U16 program as it's compiled an
all-time record of 31-0 in FIBA Americas Championship competition since
its 2009 debut. They open play at 3:30 p.m. (Eastern) Aug. 23 against Puerto Rico.
