Lewisburg never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 win over the Tupelo Golden Wave. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Golden Wave recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

The result came thanks to Lexi Edmiston's shutout, as she gave up just four hits.

On the hitting side, Lewisburg's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Bailee Davis, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Lewisburg's victory bumped their record up to 19-7-1. As for Tupelo, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-13 record this season.

Lewisburg has already played their next game, a 13-4 loss against Hernando on the 16th. As for Tupelo, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 9-6 defeat against Pontotoc on the 17th.
