Basketball Game Preview: Mineral Ridge Rams vs. Lowellville Rockets

The Mineral Ridge Rams will square off against the Lowellville Rockets at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Mineral Ridge is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Ursuline just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 72-60 to the Fighting Irish.

Meanwhile, Lowellville unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 46-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Springfield.

Lowellville now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Mineral Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-4.

Mineral Ridge was able to grind out a solid victory over Lowellville in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 47-38. Will Mineral Ridge repeat their success, or does Lowellville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
