Football Recap: Lompoc Comes Up Short

Lompoc's last matchup with St. Joseph could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Friday. The Braves had to suffer through a 42-0 loss at the hands of the Knights. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Braves were not able to get on the board.

St. Joseph found their leader in sophomore Jack Heaslet, who threw for 186 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 75% of his passes.

Lompoc's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for St. Joseph, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2.

Looking ahead, Lompoc will look to defend their home field on Friday against Paso Robles at 4:00 p.m. The Braves are facing the Bearcats at the right time seeing as the Bearcats are stuck on a three-game losing streak. St. Joseph does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
