Softball Game Preview: Stall Warriors vs. St. John's Islanders

The Stall Warriors will venture away from home to challenge the St. John's Islanders at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Stall comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Stall's offense. They lost 15-0 to Fort Dorchester on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, St. John's got the win against Scott's Branch on Friday by a conclusive 15-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Islanders.

KENNEDY MOORE made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, St. John's let TRINITIE SUTTON and MARY USHER run wild. SUTTON scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while USHER scored three runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was NATALIA AVILA, who scored three runs while going 4-for-5.

St. John's always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .643. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Stall's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for St. John's, their record is now 2-4.
