Basketball Game Preview: West Forsyth Titans vs. Mount Tabor Spartans

West Forsyth is 1-9 against Mount Tabor since January of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The West Forsyth Titans are taking a road trip to take on the Mount Tabor Spartans at 7:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Mount Tabor will be up against a hot West Forsyth team: the squad just extended their winning streak to eight. West Forsyth put the hurt on East Forsyth with a sharp 68-44 victory on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Mount Tabor came tearing into Tuesday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.9 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Mustangs, posting a 79-41 win. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 21st, while the Mustangs are ranked 347th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

West Forsyth's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.9 points over those games. As for Mount Tabor, their win bumped their record up to 19-4.

West Forsyth strolled past Mount Tabor in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 53-38. The rematch might be a little tougher for West Forsyth since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
