Baseball Recap: Beaver River Comes Up Short

If Beaver River was feeling good fresh off their 8-0 takedown of Indian River on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Beavers fell just short of the Wolves by a score of 2-1 on Monday. The Beavers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wolves earlier this season, when they won 8-0.

Beaver River saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chris Evan, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Evan has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

With the loss, Beaver River broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-3. As for Indian River, they moved to 4-7 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
