Fredonia is 8-2 against Dunkirk since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Hillbillies will venture away from home to square off against the Marauders at 5:00 p.m. Dunkirk took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Fredonia, who comes in off a win.

Fredonia let Olean stack five runs on them in the fourth inning on Monday but luckily Fredonia prevailed anyway. The Hillbillies came out on top against the Huskies by a score of 8-5. The victory continues a trend for the Hillbillies in their matchups with the Huskies: they've now won four in a row.

Danielle Palisin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on nine hits.

On the hitting side, Jenna Fryberger was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Naomi Muck, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Fredonia kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since the start of last season.

Meanwhile, Dunkirk was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of Southwestern.

Dunkirk's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Fredonia, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Fredonia took their win against Dunkirk in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 13-0 score. Will the Hillbillies repeat their success, or do the Marauders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
