Football Recap: Sidney Comes Up Short

Sidney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 52-7 loss at the hands of the Xenia Buccaneers. While losing is never fun, the Yellowjackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 460th, while the Buccaneers are ranked 155th).

Sidney's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Xenia, their victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Sidney will take on rival Tippecanoe at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Xenia is set to square off against their familiar foe Piqua at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
