After having lost a blowout in their previous game against South Caldwell, Freedom was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They had just enough and edged the Ashe County Huskies out 64-62. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 51-46 back in January.

Freedom's victory bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Ashe County, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.

Freedom and Ashe County could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. Freedom (ranked 118th) will meet Watauga (ranked 20th) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Freedom is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. Similarly, Ashe County will square off against South Caldwell at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday down 132 places (205 vs. 73).
