It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Harleton ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Union Grove Lions 7-6. The win was familiar territory for the Wildcats, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Maddi King was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-5.

Harleton's record now sits at 7-13. As for Union Grove, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 10-6 record.

Harleton will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Lions: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
